If the drivers and webcam software are correctly installed, and you still cannot see any video, there can be a problem with the program settings. Apart from that, you can try and use SplitCam, in some cases that solves webcam issues. @Dothan - I assume you have made sure you got the latest drivers and reinstalled I have the lastest version of Yahoo, the camera is new so I don't understand why it doesnt work. However I copied the AMCAP program from an old Philips FREEVENT computer -- and to my amazment the Camera worked fine (and even the Motion Eye controls appeared).

I have successfully installed this webcam but I can not seem to get it to work, it seems my default webcam is the one built inot my laptop. - I think the Advent laptops use the Sis chipset, so try updating the drivers for that.

When I try to download the driver from the Sony website it says the update is only available for Vista. if nothing works then i might take it back to the shop i bought it from so they can fix this problem. If you switched internet provider, changed from cable to wireless or changed firewall or antivirus software. If not (although unlikely), the webcam will be listed under "unknown devices" or "other devices" in the device manager.
My problem now is that it will not work with someone in Florida, (I am in Minn). I try to broadcast thru yahoo messenger and the error says "a network error occurred while connecting to server." Yahoo seems to detect the camera, as when I invite someone to access it, it says "broadcasting" but there is only a black screen. I've rebooted the computer, restarted Yahoo, unplugged the camera and replugged it in and so far no luck on Yahoo IM. What version do you have installed?
