After I did a clean install of windows 10 I tried to reinstall mb3, but my computer hangs at the APOIM part of the installation, at 60%. Then go to sound devices, and disable the playback and/or recording device(s) that MB3 is using. The limit was rather low IMHO, it was at like 5. Putting the laptop to sleep, waiting about 10 seconds, then resuming from sleep has restore function 100% of the time for me. Saved!
Now, starting up MB3 will either
freeze again, or tell you that there isn't a supported audio device.

In my mind there is no reason it should not happen instantly and without human intervention as it does with most electronic software distributions.
and i would also follow gamerk316's advice if the Creative drivers still cause problems. A member posted an updated version of the mb3 software, and the installation went flawlessly. I am going to move this thread to the main Alienware forum so more people might see it. The obvious answer to this would be to increase the latency tolerance, but due to the requirement for audio to synchronize accurately with graphics, we cannot increase the latency tolerance beyond
