Click Update driver and tell it not to search for a driver and then manually choose ACPI multiprocessor PC from the list it gives you, this will reinstall the correct dlls. All is good now? System Configuration --> Boot --> Advanced Options --> uncheck "Number of processors" and also uncheck "Maximum Memory" (not sure why anyone would want to limit the memory). Reboot the system and let it redetect them. When installing hardware, remember, HP didn't make the board, cpu, audio card, etc. The fix is to uncheck this check box. It's just to use all resources before having to resort to any cores that are sharing resources which of course means better performance.
