- Overheated or something like that.
- I haven't observed if the hp logo is seen but surely it shuts off before loading windows and trying to login.
- It all started when i was on youtube and my laptop crashed randomly, so i shut if off and started over again, i went to a diffrent video and the same

I've not got a restore disc and none was supplied with the computer.

A repair person told me its the motherboard. System board, video card (if it’s a separate module), memory, CPU (with cooling module) – that’s all you need to start the laptop with a basic video on an external monitor. Now when I try to turn it on, the power button lights up but I have a black, empty screen, and the fan doesn't sound like it's working. Ever seen this before or have any suggestions?
So what i did was to remove the keyboard(but not disconecting it from de mobo) so i could have access to de CMOS battery(as other stuff like RAM, wifi card, etc). If you have the same problem with a known good battery then most likely you problem is related to the motherboard.
